Invitation Design
Invitation Design...
More and more these days I am being asked to create wedding invitations- and with my love of typography and paper, who could resist. It always make me happy to see someone who would normally go to the local balloon store or order out a 300 page catalog filled with ecru and white, instead hires me to design something truly unique and distinctive. Here are a few recent designs  Read More →

Surprise Party Invitations
Surprise Party Invitations...
These cute invite were designed for 60th suprise birthday party. The guest of honor happened to be an antique collector so the “Antiques Inside” headline was not just a “hey, your an antique!” call-out. The invite was designed to used ivory and brown paper to have an aged look and featured and actual photograph of the birthday boy when he was just a tike. The sepia tone photo had a deckled edge to mimic the old style photos- the invite itself was placed within a paper pocket sleeve, wrapped in twine and finished off with a “Handle with Care”...

Tag! You’re it!
Tag! You’re it!...
As a graphic designer I get LOADS of paper company promo pieces sent to me on a pretty regular basis. I love them, they are really great to look at and get inspiration from-but sooner or later I have to clear out the clutter and sadly, they gotta go. But instead of just tossing them in the recycle bin, I have been upcycling them for tags for gifts & small notes. I decided to box them up and offer them through my Etsy shop along with loads of colored twines. Check them out at www.designcircus.etsy.com    Read More →

Get Well Sooner.
Get Well Sooner....
I recently designed this pair of airport duratrans for Western New York Immediate Care emphasizing the fast service (unlike the some other ER’s-which will keep you there for hours upon hours..ugh!) Duratrans in general need to be treated like a billboard and the information displayed needs to be streamline and easily read as the viewer walks by - and in an airport, it’s usually fast!  Western New York Immediate Care has three convenient locations and patients are usually seen and released in an hour. Visit www.wnyimmediatecare.com for more information. .gallery...

Exigence Presentation Folder
Exigence Presentation Folder...
I recently designed Exigence’s presentation kit existing of a three and half panel presentation folder with box pocket and velcro flap closure. Highlighted on the interior are a series of 5 brochures, stepped and die-cut to mimic the folders curved flap. Each brochure needed to be designed so that each worked independent of each other, but also worked together as a whole. This was accomplished by having each integrate blue tones, but utilizing color bands and coordinating photography to set each apart.  Read More →

A means of Affection Collection
A means of Affection Collection...
New to my Etsy shop are these cute 4″ x 9″ coupon cards for anytime of the year, but with Valentine’s Day coming…these could be the perfect gift. Included are a set 4 vouchers for a massage, night out on the town, a night of “naughty” and the ever popular-Golden Ticket, which is good for anything. Yep…anything. The gift giver presents these to their sweetie and the giftee redeems them to “cash in”. Of course, they are only redeemable to the person who gave them to you, so don’t e-mail me wanting a massage! Tag and String Holiday Cards
Tag and String Holiday Cards...
This year I was hired to design a holiday card for the Molinaro Family. We decided on a version that used tiny tags  tied to a paper sash that was wrapped around an A2 size red card to mimic a holiday package. On the interior, a photo of their children dressed in coordinating red pajamas and a holiday greeting panel and on the “rear” a mini photo of the kids to go with the “unwrap” theme.   The family had many great responses and many can’t wait to see what their will look like next year! The pressure is on!  Read More →

Rotofinisher you say?
Rotofinisher you say?...
This recently completed Precision Abrasives 64 page product catalog was challenging but a great learning experience. In the early phases of the cover design I was given a tour of the Precision Abrasives facilities and was stunned at the number of products they created. From carpenters to metalworkers to the prosthetic industry - these products are used for thousands of applications.  The challenge with this catalog was to create a clean, crisp uncluttered look while featuring the product and the description and the extensive pricing to go along. In the end, the catalog...

Have your Cake… and martini too!...
The Chocolate Bar Dessert & Martini Menu Menus are incredibly fun to design and this Chocolate Bar menu was no exception. Located in Buffalo, NY on Chippewa Street (known for it’s lively nitelife), The Chocolate Bar features scrumptious desserts and an extensive Martini menu as well as a lunch menu for those who are looking for a bite to eat. Did I mention my mouth watered the whole time I designed this menu?  Read More →
